How do you activate a registration worker in AX 2012?

I am attempting to approve and activate a BOM. When I do so, I receive the attached screen capture “000131 is not a registration worker or is not active”

In Human resources module I have filtered to employee 000131 and selected the Time Registration Tab > under this tab I’ve selected “Activate on registration terminals” > in this form I’ve filled out all of the mandatory fields and then click OK.

After this I still unable to approve the BOM.

Thank you,

Francois

    Francois,

Have you figured out this problem yet? I'm just practicing with some 2012 stuff, and I too am trying to approve a BOM. My problem is that I can't seem to successfully create a new employee to approve it. When I go to make one, I can't change the employment start and end dates. AX is defaulting them both to the same day from like five years ago. When I try to change the dates to current ones, I get error messages or AX immediately changes the date back to 2006.

Can you steer me in the right direction in at least creating employees?

Adam - I guess you are on a VPC demo version. This would be restricted by the demo license, I am not saying you should not be able to change these dates, but you would with a full version - can you apply your license or are you just playing? Otherwise you may have to search for the VPC issue list, which as it is the Beta 2012 release (I presume) may be more than a couple of lines.

You are probably doing Lab 2.1, I just experienced the same problem.

    I figured out the following:

    1. Go To Human Resources/Common/Workers/Employees

    2. In Action-TAB "Worker" click "Employment History"

    3. Create a Record for your current company

(next you will probably get the error message that a cost price for Item BF 250-400 G does not exist... You either need to do a bunch of other labs before doing 2.1 or the latest Contoso Image is not compatible with the training material.. but that makes the labs just a little bit more challenging *gg*)

Thank you Kim!!! Creating a record for my current company resolved the issue for me (same issue as the above folks were having) .

    Much appreciated!
