Populate product outside of Price List

Hi,

I have encountered a problem where I would like to add a Product to a Quote Detail that is not included in the chosen Price List .It used to work great by populating a the ID of a product outside of the Price List to the productId entity reference field in Quote Details. But for some reason it has stopped working and now I get the error message "Product not in Price Level". I am aware that this is an built in security feature but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or experience with this issue?

To make an example which is easier to understand:

I create a Quote with Price level = PL100. -> I then add a Quote Detail, and when choosing a product I would like to add a product from PL200. In my current solution I now get the default error "Product not in Price Level" and can't continue.

Thankful for any help.

    Hi

    Out of the box "Quote Detail" entity has a lookup for "Price list Item". Using this lookup we are expected to search and choose desired product. This is filtered lookup that shows products only from chosen price list in Quote entity.

    If you want to choose a product outside the scope of the pricelist, you may not be able to do using out of the box functionality.

    Please add a lookup of the Product entity in "Quote Detail". This lookup will show all the available products in the system.

    I suggest you use this lookup in write in products. so that pricelsit error may not arise.

    Hi

    Alternatively, you can try this option too. (making price list optional)

    Settings--> Administration --> System Settings --> Sales
