I have a bizarre number sequence error message. AX 2012 R2 is telling me that my journal voucher number is not in the proper format, but I don't see what is wrong. The format is supposed to be LH02-XXXXXX. I have tried variations of the format, and have confirmed that LH02-000001 is the next available number. Nothing satisfies AX. I have searched and searched for the answer myself and not come up with any plausible explanation. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Howard,

For which process are you using this voucher? If it is for an invoice approval journal, it should meet the format of the invoice register.
