Hello All ,

Behavior field has two fields in the cost group form .Can i know where/how does the cost pick up for each option? Appreciate if you provide an example.

Fixed cost

Variable cost

What is the preferred option that organizations should select ?

Hi Lally,

If you hover the mouse over the field name, it will show you the help text. The field is not used for any difference in application behavior. It is only used for reporting purposes.

But MS docs didn't have any real time explanation with some examples/ numbers to understand the difference .

Could you throw some light on this ?

Hi,

This field is only used for reporting purposes if you want to report your costs as variable or not. For example electricity is variable cost and RM can be fixed cost.
