Change it back. Make sure the file name & location does not contain any special characters or spaces.

I can't change it back. When I try to start the application, I get an error message and application closes after that.

I am not able to access the application, that's my issue.

That change you described doesn't seem like it  would cause this but  you never know... Were there any other changes? Can you open the Development environment and find the page or table where the change was made?

There are other ways to alter the data stored in the database without actually opening the application, but it requires expert analysis. Do you have a Reseller you can call for support? Do you have a Database Administrator in-house?

That's was the only change that I made. The error message that shows up also lists the file path that I used. So, that tells me that is the issue.

I made that change by going to menu: Tools>Options and then changing the "Temp folder location".

I think if I could reset the user setting without going into application UI, that will fix my problem but I don't know how to do that.

What did you change it to? And what was it before? Is this only affecting your computer/NAV? Are there other computers on the network and are they able to get into NAV?

I change it to Network Drive location: <O:\Folder Name.

It was: <C:\Users\Vsingh\AppData\Local\Temp (I may not know all the right characters to put in but that was the location).

Yes, this is only affecting my computer. For other users its working fine.

What version of NAV do you have? Try deleting the local configuration (.zup) file.

    Look for it:
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\
    OR
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

Thanks a lot!! That has fixed the error.

The reason I wanted to change the folder was because I was trying to export a report and application was trying to put that into the "Temp" folder but storage space allocated to the folder is not enough to store this file. So, application was giving me the error "not enough space available.

Is there a way to change the folder, so I can export a larger size file from NAV 2009?

Thanks a lot for you help!!!

    Varindersra,

Please check for the TempFilePath property available under Tools -> Options.

    i.e. Tools -> Options -> TempFilePath

Please change that to store your exported files to different folder.
