
We are looking at implementing the mobile apps for time and expense (not the approvals via email).

This application enables you to capture expenses and enter timesheets. It can be used in combination with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 Expense Management and Timesheet. The app supports capturing a photo of the receipt as well as entering expense details. In also enables creating, completing and submitting a timesheet.
However, we have asked our partner and several other MS partners if anyone has implemented they have never used it. Has anyone implemented this and is it even worthwhile investigating? Have you found it user friendly or used it for field workers? We are trying to determine if the end product would be worth all of the time and resources.
We are on AX 2012 R3 cu8.

If I understood our local German MS managers correctly then MS is using this for it's employees on a global basis. Probably try to get into contact with your local country management to get some feedback on their experience with this functionality. Given the large number of employees MS has, this should be a good benchmark for you.
