How to add form fields that map data directly to the account entity

We have a number of marketing forms, where all the data is mapped to the contact or lead entity, however a business requirement has come up asking for forms that can update fields associated to accounts that my colleagues are working on.

I thought there would be a setting somewhere in either the outbound or realtime apps which allows us to design fields that map to accounts but can't find anything. Only a lookup option that allows you to select an account filter and attribute - but i'm wanting to add data where the organisation currently doesn't have anything.

How can I set this up, and why isn't this an OOB feature?

Hi,

Yes, as you described, both OBM and RTM are based on Contact or Lead. Even if you add custom field mapping to MKT Form, it will only map to Contact or Lead fields.

We don't think your requirement is achievable within the out-of-the-box functionality, perhaps it can be achieved using a custom plugin, you will need to contact your organization's IT staff to confirm.
