RE: Schedule board and multible timezones?

So here you can follow 3 steps for "scheduler get the best overview of what hours the technician is working":
- Create schedule board views based on timezone, like if company is providing technical support then your booking can be named as Tech Support Booking and you can make different views like:
- Tech Support EST (Eastern standard time) – Set Timezone as EST for schedule board view
- Tech Support MST (Mountain standard time) - Set Timezone as MST for schedule board view
- Tech Support CST (Central standard time) - Set Timezone as CST for schedule board view
This first step can fulfill your requirement.
But to get more clear vision on schedule board you can follow 2nd and 3rd steps which will help you to get more filtered resources to schedule.
- Associate Resources (Technicians) with their territories
If one resource(technician) is working in multiple territories as you said technician can work in multiple timezone, in that case we can associate different timezone territories to the resource(technician) as below.
Resource (Technician):
Associated Territories –
Connecticut(CT) EST timezone territory
Alabama(AL) CST timezone territory
North Dakota(ND) MST timezone territory
So now you have resource(technician) who is working on 3 different territories or you can say he/she is working on 3 different timezone right?
- Now open schedule board and go to any view, example: we have opened Tech Support EST View then at left side there is “Filter & Map View” panel which is used to filter resources based on multiple conditions.There is one filter available with name “Territories”, here you can add territories so associated resource with that territories - will be available for scheduling.
I have given here territory filter example, in your case you can use other filters based on your requirement.
