Extracting field data from entity and passing to a HTML web resource

How would I extract data from an entity's field and then pass this data into an HTML web resource?

This resource would then be used to update another record.

    Hi,

    I also would suggest to check this:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/clientapi/reference/GetGlobalContext-ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx

    This explains that you need to add to you HTML:

    <script src="ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx" type="text/javascript" ></scrip

    And you can then call parent.Xrm.* but this needs to be a html web resource inside the form. Out side of the form or sitemap won't work like this.
