Available inventory by PO receipt date

Sales representatives frequently call inventory control to ask how much inventory is available or will be available in the future. When there is a PO or a number of PO’s that have not yet been received it is not possible to see how much inventory is still available on each incoming PO by receipt date.

We simply want to see expected receipt date 1: this much is still available, expected receipt date 2: this much is still available.

Any way to see inventory broken down by PO dates on the on-hand inventory screen?  Or any other way to pull this information?

Thanks!

If you use Master Planning functionality, and if you want this information per item, does the Net requirements screen give you want you want? It can show On-hand, any existing sales orders, any expected PO receipts (and any forecasted demand, if you use that).

    technet.microsoft.com/.../aa551216.aspx

    You could also investigate ATP:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh209482.aspx

Finally, you have the 'Supply schedule' form. I can't find a TechNet page for that. You'll find a button on the Released product form, 'Plan' tab in the ribbon bar.

    Hi Guy,

The reason that the Net requirements screen does not give us what we are looking for is because there may be several sales orders allocated to one PO...we have to add up all of these amounts before we can say how much is left on each PO.  It would be nice if we could just see the PO date and see somewhere - this is what is available.

The ATP functionality or supply schedule look like one may potentially give us what we are looking for.
