Is it possible to split a SSRS report into multiple to split the work load

ReportReport

We have a SSRS Report which has
52 thousand lines the same report on another company has 5 thousand
lines. The firstone goes into a timeout and cant be processed and viewed
not even with batch processing and email sent.

I am currently searching for a way to split the Report into multiple
processes so the workload gets split and the user can still view the
report without a timeout but i dont find a way how to.

My goal would be that the user opens the Report and for example it loads the first 10 thousand lines and after the user closes it it opens the next 10 thousand and so on.

If you have any better solution please consider telling me about it.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Emir,

What is the purpose of printing a report with 52000 lines? Who is going to read such a report? Can you tell more about the report and its intention how it is being used?

It is the On-hand Inventory basic SSRS Report which is already included in AX. Our customer wants this report everyday with the use of batch.

We are currently searching for other solutions to explain it to our customer.

    Hi Emir,

There is no option to split the report by number of lines. You can run the report with a selection of e.g. item numbers/groups and split it in this way.

Please ask the customer what they will do with the report. Do they print it on paper or to a file? Would a daily export to a file be an option for them?
