Export of marketing interactions in real-time marketing

Hi!

We are currently using the mechanism for exporting marketing interactions to a blob storage, as described in the section "Prepare for analytic reporting with Power BI" in the documentation. We rely on this exported data in the blob storage to create reports, as well as updating external systems with marketing interactions data through integrations.

We are planning to start using the real-time marketing module. Will the interactions from the real-time marketing module (clicks, opens, etc) also be exported to the same blob storage - together with the interactions from the outbound marketing module?

If not, how can we make sure that all interactions - from both the outbound and real-time modules - show up in our Power BI reports and is available for our integrations?

I don't see anything in the real-time marketing documentation that addresses this scenario. In other similar threads in this forum we are directed to the known issues section of the documentation, that discusses interoperability between real-time Marketing  and Customer Insights. I therefore want to be extra clear - the scenario I describe here does not relate to Customer Insights - we simply want to continue to use the marketing interaction export that has been around for a long time, when we transition to real-time marketing.

Thanks!

Rgds,

Andreas

Short answer: No. Not yet. Interaction data from real-time journeys is for the moment almost non-existent.

    Hi,

Thanks for submitting this question. Please refer to this blog post (Custom Interactions Reporting in Dynamics Marketing - Microsoft Dynamics Blog) to understand how marketing interaction data is stored in real-time marketing and outbound marketing as well as guidance on how to export that data for your custom reporting needs. Please note that we're also working on publishing a documentation for this very soon. Until we have that published, guidance in the above blog should help you!

Please let us know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks,
    PM,
    Microsoft

Can anyone provides insights on this? Every bit is relating this blogpost but now the post is "getting updated" and there is no clue how to access the RTM analytics for custom Power BI Reporting?

Article might be updated, but doesn't give any timeline and hints in how to access. Schema is described since end of 2022 here: learn.microsoft.com/.../real-time-marketing-interactions-reference.

Is there a timeline, we can count on, when it will be possible to access the data finally? The Support person told me, there will be an update beginning of June. I hope he didn't meant the update above :-).

    Hey Lars,

i got an update last week.

The official announcement is missing but they told me that the strategy will be to access the data via MS Fabric.

Access via SAS Token will be (or is already) deprecated and you will need to consume the data via MS Fabric connectors. The data model will stay the same.

Templates for Power BI reporting (like in OBM) are on the roadmap.
