goods receipt quantity more than Purchase order quantity

Hello friends

                  Can we receive quantity more than the quantity for an item in a purchase order .Because in certain cases vendors delivers more than the quantity as per PO. Can we do this without editing the quantity in PO?

    You can't do that. You must re-open the PO, change Qty or add an additional line. Other solution maybe a positive adjustement through item journal, but I recommend you to add an additional line to PO.

    It is not possible in standard NAV but we have customized for More or Less receivings/shippings.
