GDPDU Export with Electronic Reporting

Hi folks,

we use Electronic Reporting to export GDPDU-data with the configuration "German audit file output".

I am now wondering about the language. The report is issued in English. But the report is needed for the german tax authority. So we need the Report in German.

How can that be changed?

Hi,

I tested this and I think this is possible.

I tried with the latest version 31.14 ER model and then I changed my user language to "De'

Exported data from GL-> periodic task-> data export

Exported files are in German.

Can you check and update here?

Hello DynAX84,

In general there is no problem with delivering the GDPDU output file in a language other than German.

The German law defines that you have to provide the auditors with a translation of the accounts - if they cannot read the language that is setup.

This means that you basically have to give them a list - e.g. a simple excel list - of your main accounts with their original name and the German translation.

That should be sufficient.

Please double check and talk to your auditors before investing a lot of time in trying to modify the ER.

Hi all,

my system language and my user language is german, but the content of the report is in english.

Please have a look, this is a excerpt from the export:

In my Opinion the whole report should be in german.

Hello,

Alright, then I can recommend you to look into the suggestion shared by Dr Ludwig.

Note- This report is used by each customer in Germany and we have seen no issues with English language in audit files.

Kindly check with auditors.

Hi DynAX84,

What you shared seem to be posting types and posting layers.

Also here the same thing applies.

Give this as it is to your auditors and they can import the file into their audit system and check things.

If they cannot understand something, they will come back to you and ask for a translation.

Yet, my experience is that those basic English terms can be understood by all auditors :-)

If you are really not happy with that then you need to use the German terms for various enums such as 'Aktuell', etc. for the different posting layers and you also need to configure the ER in a way that the German terms come out. Yet, I have never seen that this was asked for in any audit I was involved in. So, before doing this extra work better double check with your auditors first.
