HI All,

Hoping someone can help me.

I have created a workflow that will trigger once a booking is set to dispatched. This will send the resource a text messages with details of the job.

However I am struggling to get the SMS Template to show info that is on a linked entity - in this case the Work Order.

The text messages comes up as blank as soon I try to include the WO entity.

I have the same question (0)

Hmmm. Interesting feedback.  I actually like the new FS app.  Definitely better than the old one.  But, I would still personally look to customize the app versus trying to do the whole text message thing, but just different paths to the goal.

Hi Lorne - we do use the FS Mobile App.

It's one we have faced issues with... and engineers have often mentioned field app issues to get out of jobs which has lead to customer detriment.

The text is a back up to this... to ensure there is little room for excuses.

Hi Ali - I was thinking I had to go down this route. I'm a newbie to the D365 world so the article is going to come in very handy.

    Thank You.

Pardon me for what might be a dumb question, but why are you causing youself a good deal of extra work (and clearly frustration)?  Why not just use the FS Mobile app?  Then eveything is already there.  There's no extra charge as far as I'm aware.

Also make sure you are referencing the lookup field to work order on the booking entity as opposed to the work order number which is a string

It will be probably easier to assist if you could share a screenshot but generally speaking, have a look at the below link (it is talking about Account and Contact, but is sort of similar):
