We are currently using the excel add in to post general journals. However we find it time consuimg having to create the journal in D365 and then open it in excel. Is there any way, or any application, that make it possible to work directly in excel. Meaning we can have ready templates in excel where we just "connect" to D365 and click post. We had this feature before with Agresso Excelerator.
How I currently understand the problem is that the only way we can get the unique voucher number from system is to create the journal first in D365 before opening in excel.

You can create custom Excel template for General journal and add it as new document template. Then, you can use it as template to import journal lines.

You can load journals using Data Import Export Framework and General Journal template. The system will create separate journals for you and then you can setup a periodic batch job in the background to post journals. In that way, you will not need to manually hit the Post button, unless some journal had failed the validation then you would need to address the issue manually.
