Lock Field On Quick Create Form for some security Roles

Hello all,

I got a new issue reported me from users that they are able to see some lock on fields like below.

1 - I checked the issue but didnt find any lock field on form(this was obvious as i dont see any lock)

2 - I checked and the field is not enabled for security

3 - I even checked the js written on form onload (still going through these as i think only these could have the answer to this bug)

Anywhere else where i can look? 

Also this issue started reproing just now even tho we didnt make any change and there was no feature to lock the field before. Please provide if you guys have any solution or any place i should look

    Hello Kavish vaidya,

    check if user have "Append" privilege on "external item reference" and "Append to" privilege on "owning team" and "owning service" entity.

    Also, can you try to add this fields on the main form and check if the same issue is persisting or not. if it is not persisting then there will be some logic which is locking this fields on quick create form.

    Hello,

    thanks for the  reply. somehow one field is fixed and the other still isnt. weirdly there are only few people who can reproduce the issue, and all have same roles marked to them.

    If one security role has user level access on an entity and other has global and if both are assigned to said user i believe he will get global level access? right?

    Please let me know if there is any thing else that might be an issue for particular users or for people with particular roles

    Please check the security role for the entity and specifically check the Append and Append To access.
