    Hi Chetan,

If you have Zones and Bins, then use the "Whse. Item Journals" for positive and negative adjustments. If the adjustments are the result of physical inventory / cycle counting, use the "Whse. Phys. Invt. Journals". For reclass, use the "Whse. Reclass. Journals"

Their basic counterparts (Item Journals, Phys. Inventory Journals, and Item Reclass. Journals) will not work when you have advance warehousing enabled for a Location (i.e., Zones and Bins).

I hope this helps. If my response has answered your question, please verify by clicking Yes next to "Did this answer your question?"

Maneesha, the Item Journal will NOT work for Chetan’s setup. The use of zones implies that advanced warehousing is in use (and Chetan has stated this too), with directed instructions / bin controls. This requires the use of “Whse. Item Journals”, not the simple “Item Journals”. Please read my response above yours for clarification.

And please read the question carefully, as well as the responses from others, before posting a response. Even if your response were correct, you simply re-stated what somebody else already just two replies above. Thank you.

If you warehouse is enabled for Directed Put-Away and Pick, you need to use Whse. Item Journal.

As AJ suggested correctly use Whse Item Journals for such type of transaction.

If you are using Advance Warehouse then what you are supposed to do is you need to navigate first Whse Item Journal, and do the adjustments as per your need,

Now the above execution will all update your Warehouse but not the Inventory so to update the Inventory now you need to navigate Item Journal.

In item journal you will find an action button as Calc. Whse Adjustmnent, Press it and it will automatically fetch all item which inventory needs to be adjusted and then post it.
