Capturing the signer and datetime for electronic signature

Hi
I have a requirement where, Once I trigger the signature on a field and once it is signed. I have 2 fields on my custom form named: Signed by and signed date time.

I want the signer and its date time to get captured from database log, once the signature is signed. Can anyone help with the approach to capture those 2 fields?

Hi,

You can refer to this official documentation: Configure database logging - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn. Database logging provides a way to track specific types of changes to the tables and fields in Finance and Operation apps. Changes that can be tracked include insert, update, delete, and rename key operations. When you configure logging for a table or field, a record of every change to that table or field is stored in the database log table, sysdatabaselog, in the environment database.

Based on the standard behavior of the "Signature" functionality, there is no need to have customized signature fields.

Once you activate "Electronic signature" for specific tables and you configure "Signature enabled" in the users options, the Signature - and if configured also a reason code will be logged in the database log.

This works basically for simple forms, nut we had some trouble with forms having multiple joined data sources as parent/child data.
