Formatting PO

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi, need help on this! How to add more fields/captions in PO?

Here is an example:

We have 2 taxes lines on printed PO, here is what they look like:

Tax Breakdown:

                             70.00

                             50.00

So actually no tax name showed up there. In our case, PST and GST.

I think there must be a way to change/add captions on PO.

Thanks!

Grace

    HI Grace,

This setting is controlled by the Tax Jurisdiction table - Print Description field.  You may need to customize the page to add the field if it is not visible by default.  The field uses an option variable '%1' to display the computed sales tax rate.  For example, if you put 'GST %1%' in the Print Description and the rate computed on the PO was 5%, NAV would print GST 5% because NAV will replace the '%1' with '5' followed by the character %.  Alternatively you can just enter 'GST 5%' if your system is configured to always compute the same rate for a given Tax Jurisdiction.  Here's a screenshot of our setup as an example.

    Hi,

Could you share the screen print where you want the alteration?
