Dear Experts,

One user is getting this issue while login in D365 even though system administrator role is assigned to this user. Person also linked with this user.

The default system user role is also assigned to him but still no luck. Any other setups are missing!

    Hello Anirban Basu,

    Have you checked if below areas are set properly?

    --- If the user is set to enabled in the "Users" form?

    --- Is the Employee role assigned to this user ID?

    If not; then kindly set all these and then see if this is working or not.

    Hi Anirban Basu,

    Is this user within your company (azure active directory) or is it maybe an external person like a consultant. It it‘s an external person, you have to modify the „provider“ field.

    What I‘ve noticed in some Tier 1 environments it that the logins are sometimes not working. After recreating the record it works.

    Good Morning Anirban Basu,

    If the user credentials (user and password) are correctly entered then try opening an in-private session.

    I regularly get this error especially when I am logged into different platforms/websites with different users.

    Most likely the user's browser has some other credentials saved (or active in another tab) and the browser is using those credentials, instead of the ones that your user thinks. Please verify this by trying in private browsing session.

    Other option - as mentioned - is that this user is from different AAD tenant and the user info is not properly set up in D365.

    We found that the employee role was missing in the user. After adding this, everything becomes fine.
