System Requirements for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 Database Components for SQL Server

Hi, hopefully we have a new customer in NAV 2013 R2. The customer has an old SQL Server 2008 with a large number of applications that can not be lifted at this time. Can you run NAV 2013 R2 to SQL Server 2008? The system requirements point to at least SQL Server 2008 R2, but what could be the problem if we still tried to 2008 before SQL Server can be lifted?

When we did the Selling towards the customer MS system requirements pointed to at least SQL Server 2008, but now it´s pointed to at least SQL Server 2008 R2!! This will give us big problem in closing the deal.

Could You please explain why the Changes on the requirement specification has occured?

You cannot use SQL2008 for NAV2013R2.
