Hi,

I have upgraded a sandbox environment and now I want to upgrade  production environment. but when i tried to mark the service update package as release candidate it's taking the previous package also. But that package should not be applied to production. How can we upgrade production to the same version as sandbox?

We thought of applying a package that was applied to sandbox environment after the version upgrade to production.when we try to apply the package(Sandbox package which is applied to sandbox after it's version upgrade)to production will the production get upgraded ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Pavan45,

When you want to install a code package into your Prod Env you need to have a UAT env as the same version as your Prod. Then you can install this code package into your UAT first and then test it, when you validate that release is successful, you can mark the code package as "Release candidate" and then you can install it in your Prod environment.

When it comes to upgrade, do you mean version update (e.g. from 10.0.22 to 10.0.24)? If yes, do have several code package, one for version update and one for customer codes? Or do you use one merged package and consist these two?

    HI Alireza,

    Thanks for the response.

Let me brief you with the issue we are facing.

    Current UAT version-10.0.22,Prod-10.0.20

We upgrade UAT with version 10.0.22(service update) on 24th Dec. Before applying service upgrade to UAT we had deployed a customized package to UAT(This package is not approved to move to Prod). After all testing in UAT post version upgrade we planned to upgrade Prod with the same version as UAT. When we tried to mark the service upgrade as "Release Candidate" there's a pop-up which says a package(which should not be moved to Prod) will also be applied to Prod along with service update.

We are not able to mark service upgrade package as "release candidate" cause it's taking the previous UAT package which was deployed before applying service upgrade to UAT.

How can we apply the service upgrade to Prod now as we are not able to mark the service upgrade package as "release candidate" because of the above scenario.

We have a scenario where we have a prod deployment in the upcoming weeks. Before deploying the package to Prod we first deploy the same package to UAT(currently in 10.0.22).After the testing is done in UAT we mark that package as "release candidate" and schedule that package to Prod.

As UAT is in 10.0.22 so the package that we schedule to Prod will also be of the same version as UAT right? Then if we schedule this package to Prod, will Prod get upgraded to 10.0.22 after the package gets deployed?

    Regards,

    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,

It is not fully clear to me if you only want to install 10.0.22 or if you try to include your customization model. Can you share a screenshot of your issue? Please mask any sensitive information on it before posting it on the cummunity.

    HI Andre,
    Thanks for your response.

We want to install 10.0.22 not any customization.  When we tried to mark the service update as "release candidate" the customization is also being included which should not be applied to prod.

Please find the below screenshot for your better understanding..

    Hi Pavan,

It would be great to create a support issue to Microsoft to get better assistance-

We had this issue with 10.0.24: 10.0.1084.84 that Microsoft means that it was related to an infrastructure issue that will be resolved by itself.

Please try again to find if you get the same pop up message again.
