Customer credit limit for Project Customers

Hi,

If I have a customer which is being invoiced thru Project invoices (Not Sales orders), Can I apply the credit limit for the customer on /Item requirements/.

In Other words, if the customer credit limit is USD 500/- & the user wanted to issue an item for USD 600/- thru item requirement I need the transaction to be rejected.

Note:

The project type is /Fixed Price./

Hi Mostafa,

In my opinion, having a fixed price type of project and trying to enable credit limits on specific parts of the project doesn't make sense. The item requirement is non-chargeable in this case. It will only possibly check for credit limits once you raise a project invoice for one or more fixed-price on-account transactions.

Hi Andre,

We have a Chargeable Part in our contracts, so if there is any approach I can use it to apply credit limit on Project Item requirement it will be very useful for us

Hi Mustafa,

Usually, I recommend having a sub-project with the type of T&M for additions that are not in the scope of the Fixed Price project. I'm not sure if an item requirement will check for credit limits, but when you create a sales order from the project, it should.
