Error while updating from NAV 2009 R2 to NAV 2013 R2

Posted on by 750

Hi

I'm  updating an existing NAV 2009 R2 installation to NAV 2013 R2 using the Upgrade Toolkit.

When I run Upgrade601701.1.fob I have a problem because its trying to create an Form called "Upgrade Error Log" (id 104003).

But there is already an form called "Upgrade Error Log" what would be the best pratice to do here?

    Hi

Sorry if this seams like an stupid question but as I said earlier we just got our partner status and we are still a bit confused on some areas, Maybe you can clarify for me :-)

When I logon to the partner network voice area I go to "My Corporate Information". Under there I have

    • Current Installation
    • Developer Tools

Is it here i find my Partner License or did I miss something?

    hi,

you need partner license to manage obejct 104003,100.xxx , delete object before import.

"2.Add your partner license to the database."

You can do this by selecting the Save License in Database field in the Alter Database window. If the field was not already selected, a dialog box opens so you can specify the location of your partner license.

If the field was already selected, upload the partner license from the License Information window."

you need a NAV SUPER user also.

    Hi Roberto

I tried to rename the objects but i dont have permission. The objects are developed by another partner that must be way I have permission trouble.

Im new in NAV and I dont fully understand the licens model. I have this in my partner licence

450 Demo/Dev Full User CAL (Concurrent User)

    610 Partner Demo/Dev Module

    Country Code: Denmark

What can I do to rename the objects?

    hi,

"replace all" objects. overwrite with new obejects (best practice).

.. if you have problems, rename existing object to "upgrade Error Log 2", after try to re-import.
