Parent Child Case Settings

My requirement is to use this setting without inheriting all the mandatory attributes from parent case to child case .

But when i am not selecting all the mandatory attributes  from the  "Available attributes", and try to use this setting then it is showing a prompt  "Select all mandatory fields for inheritance so that child cases are created correctly".

Is there any way to enable this setting without passing all the mandatory attributes to child case.

Thanks

    Hi,

I dont think we can override this behaviour, since there is no other way for us to configure.

    Hi ,

What i did was , i went to n:1 relationship of case incident_parent _incident and i deleted the mapping which i don't required , then on creating the child cases fields are not getting inherited (only for those for which i have deleted the mapping). I want to know is there any pros and cons of this method...

Also i have one more doubt if i move the solution having case entity with all assets as component  in another environment . will my parent child case setting get moved along with the solution

    Thanks

    Hi,

Glad that you found a way to overide it. As long as Microsoft allows you to edit via ui its fine.

You have to include the relationship into solution if you want to move to another environment.
