Hi,

I am currently working on "Jobs" Module of Microsoft Dynamics Navision 2009 R2, as i am trying to create the job task line for my created job card by using web service.

for this i am passing the my created "Job_No" from the web service of job task line, i am getting this error "Field Job No. is read only".

If i do not mention "Job_No" in job task line web service, the job task line is getting create in the top most job card. ( i.e. job task line in created for which ever job card present first in Jobs module).

Please assist me in creating the job task line for the required job card in Jobs module.

What are you passing to Job Task Type? Also, make Job No. field Editable on the page that you had published as a web service.

I did not find how to make Job No. field Editable as i am using Navision 2009 R2 Role Tailored Client.  with demo company as CRONUS International Ltd.

When i am trying to publish web service all i can see is 4 columns,

    1) Object Type

    2) Object ID

    3) Service Name

    4) Published.

and the Job Task Type i am giving as Begin_Total.

In the development environment, select Job Task table (1001), press "Design", and open properties of the first "Job No." field. Put "Editable" property to Yes. Do the same on the page 1002 "Job Task Lines" for the same field. When you are trying to publish a web service, I suppose you are publishing this page? Publish the service and see if it helps.
