GP 2015 R2 Web Client HTTP Error 403.14 New Install

I am installed the GP web client on a 2012 server for the first time and when I enter the url https://domainName/gp I get the error:

HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden

The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.

Most likely causes:

  • A default document is not configured for the requested URL, and directory browsing is not enabled on the server.

I tried enabling directory browsing but then I just get a directory listing.  I found one post that said to install asp.net 4.5 and I did, no help.

    Any suggestions?

    Rom the partner forum:

    1. Please open your Add Roles and Features Wizard

    2. Make sure you add the following or make sure there is a check mark next to these.

    a. Application Server

    i. .Net Framework 4.5

ii. Application Server>>Windows Process Activation Service Support

    1. HTTP Activation

    2. TCP Activation

    b. Web Server (IIS)>>Web Server

    i. Common HTTP Features

    1. Default Document

    2. Directory Browsing

    3. HTTP Errors

    4. Static Content

    5. HTTP Redirection

    ii. Security

    1. Windows Authentication

    c. Web Server (IIS) >> Application Development

    i. .Net Extensibility 3.5

    ii. .Net Extensibility 4.5

    iii. ASP .NET 3.5

    iv. ASP .NET 4.5

    v. ISAPI Extensions

    vi. ISAPI Filters

    3. Once you have added the server roles above, restart the application pool for your Web Site.

    4. Perform an IISRESET

    5. Then restart your Session Central and Session Service services.

    6. Then make sure that the ASPNET_Client 4_0 is showing up in your IIS Manager.

    7. Then attempt to access your Web Client login.

In my case asp.net 4.5 and static content was not checked.
