How do I ship from stock without a production order

NAV 2013 R2.

We do a stock take and find that we have 36 of item 70000 in stock that was there before NAV was implemented.

A customer wants 30 of these, so we create a sales order for 30 of them.

How do I ship and invoice from stock without creating a new production order and producing more?

Thanks

Dave K

The best way is to prepare Phys. Inventory Journals for this item. Open this journal and run Calculate Inventory with your item no. (70000) filter. You need to set date before you want to ship this item. document no. and 'Items Nor on Inventory' on Options tab.

After that, you need to fill your stock of 36 pcs to 'Qty. (Phys. Inventory)' field and post this journal. After that, you can sale this item.

    Hi,

Since you said you had stock of 36 quantity for item no 70000, it goes without saying that you need to upload the opening balance of that item in item journal. After uploading the opening balance the user can ship the goods without raising production order.
