Pass AX Data to SharePoint with file attachments

We are using SharePoint 2013 to attach and store files through AX, however, I was hoping someone might be able to share some information on a way you were able to pass data from AX to SharePoint as metadata at the time of attachment. Such as the record number/quote/invoice/customer number, etc. I want these values to pass to SharePoint so that they will be indexed and searchable from SharePoint directly, without finding the original record in AX.

I think it's not possible via standard ax logic. You could do some extra development to access sharepoint yourself:

It's hard to believe AX 2012 R3 doesn't include this out of the box. MS talks about the AX integration with sharepoint as a plus but when you upload a file from AX to sharepoint the process doesn't add automatically any metadata from the source. Unbelievable!
