Dynamics SL 2015 VPN access issues

I am getting an error message when trying to access Dynamics while working remotely and using VPN.

Current version is SL 2015 9.01

When logged into VPN while working remotely Dynamics displays the message "Unable to open the specified server database..."

This then leads to a screen prompting me to choose a Server Name and Database Name, which is typically not required when using the Dynamics wired to the company network.

I believe these are mapped correctly, S:\SL\Applications is the correct drive path, do you see anything that should be updated?

Use a registry editor to modify the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\DynamicsSL. Edit the INSTALLDIR and ParentDirectory subkeys to the mapped drive path location to the Dynamics SL program files.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Solomon\SolomonIV Tools for Visual Basic. Edit the ParentDirectory subkey to the mapped drive path to the Dynamics SL program files.

Did you try enabling the SQL Browser service?
