Hello, is there a way to deactivate the current status of users? It is particularly anoying when trying to change the owner of an account because the status takes up all the space and doesn't let you change the owner easily.

Agree I found this same issue. Had to zoom out using the browser tools to be able to address this matter but would be interested if there is another solution as zooming out does shrink the rest of the information on the screen and makes it difficult for some users to read.
I think this status related to your status on the Team Application, can you try to set the Team's status to Away and check again?
Hello, I understand that it is the status of Microsoft products, but if I modify my status in Teams, then it would show to all my colleagues that I am away (not available for work) and it is not what I want. Plus this couldn't be applied for all other users.

This status appear because the skype feature is activated in the parameter.
To deactivate displaying status user, Just you must navigate to Power Platform Admin Center, then select your environment >Settings > Features
Deactivate this parameter.
