Impact of Deleting a User vs deactivating a User in AX 2012 R3

Hi,

Just wondering if you delete a user as they no longer work for the company.

Will this delete history relating to user i.e sales order created by this user or batches created by this user. What is the difference between deleting a user vs deactivating a user.

    HI Mel,

    Will this delete history relating to user i.e sales order created by this user---It wont delete any transactions

    or batches created by this user--This will not Run until you run from another user ID which is enabled.

    deleting a user vs deactivating a user:- Depends on your practice and maintenance, If user is no longer active or using AX you can disable or if individual left the organization you can practice to remove user from AD and delete. But again depends on the audit policies set in your organization.
