Workflow configuration throwing error "The request failed with HTTP status 405: Method Not Allowed."

Hi,

While configuring workflow through Administrator>Setup>Workflow infrastructure configuration wizard., I am getting the following error when validating the URL :

"The request failed with HTTP status 405: Method Not Allowed".

I have verified that my IIS is running and the application is also running by browsing it from IIS.

have i missed something in the configuration ? Please let me know about it
