SQL Server rights (Classic Client) for Classic Client User

Hello,

I have to create some user-accounts in SQL Server 08 to log in to the demo database (CRONUS) to work on it (for a lecture).

which rights are necessary on the database to log in (no Windows authentification, the students work on the Classic Client)?

I have tried it with "public" and "db_owner", but after the first log in there appears an erroe that the username/password is incorrect...

Thanks!

You need only to create the account on SQL. Rest is on NAV. Just add the user into Database logins in NAV and assign the roles. But! If you are using Extended security, you need to synchronize the logins. I recommend to use standard security. Than you do not need this.

DO not forget to have at least one login in NAV with SUPER rights, else you can lock the database...
