Stupid? Question: Why don't I see my EDT Extensions in my Project?

Hello,

Following https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/extensibility/decimal-point-precision I have extended the related data types.

Question: Why can I only find ProductQuantity.WWISupplyChain in my project, when I actually have 7 other EDT Extensions?  I figure I must have accidentally done something that I don't realize because I'm still early in my developer learning curve.

Can provide any ideas of where I would see the Model Items in the Solution Explorer in my project?

Thanks so much!

I have the same question (0)

You might have removed them from project.

    Hi jim,

You can right click the edt extension from application explorer and select add to project - It get added under Edt extension folder.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

There is a possibility you created those extension one of those projects in the solution explorer. You can find out if these EDT extensions are already in one of them.

At the top of the solution explorer, type the EDT extension in the solution explorer search bar. You can as well right on the EDT extension from the AOT and add then to your desired project.

Probably after adding the EDT extensions, you didn't save the project - Without saving that you may navigate to some other project or close the vs. Thats the reason why some EDT extensions are missing from the project.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

Excellent I'll try that!  That worked!  ... and even better, now I know. Thanks for your kind response to my silly question.

Question is a question, not stupid or silly :)

I think you were expecting all EDT extensions in the project added automatically, as the edt extensions belong to your model. If yes, then its not added automatically and have to be added manually. Also, you don't need all your extensions in your project, only those that were created or edited for your project. But again, this is my assumption of the issue or your expectation.
