Does Dynamics 365 FO have any documentation for the out of box security roles? I need to provide some documentation.
you can get information in Detail level from Built-In Reports too. Those can be found by Administration -> Inquiries -> Security. Under this section you will find four reports:
User Role Assignments
Security Role Access
Role to User Assignments
Security Duty Assignments

there was one for AX2012R3 but no idea its matches with Current D365FO roles

yeah...I need something updated for D365FO. What I need some kind of documentation that says what the roles actually enable a user to do.
The canned reports are pretty limited, IMHO. Here's what you have available. If it were me, I'd create a custom Power BI report.

There is no sophisticated report available. The details of each role are visible in the Security configuration form. If you need better documentation, you have to create your own report or document.
But shouldn't there be a description of what each role does? How are people supposed to know the permissions of the out-of-box roles?
I do consider the standard roles as examples. In most cases, companies will create custom roles. In that case, they will reuse duties and privileges or create their own.
