Directly send Marketing emails without using any marketing list, quick campaign, campaign or customer journey

Hi,

In Dynamics 365 for Marketing,

1. Is there a way to send out marketing emails TO CUSTOMERS/PROSPECTS without using them with campaigns, quick campaigns and customer journeys and also track the number of success and failures of email delivery? Can we directly send out the email to a large audience?

2. Only the email templates saved under Advanced settings --> Email templates can be pulled up in campaigns and quick campaigns. Though a more common scenario is we draft an email, save it as a template under the sitemap entity 'Email Templates' [not the one under Advanced settings] and we should be able to pull it up when creating a campaign/quick campaign. This does not seem to work in D365 for marketing ...why?

3. Is a new functionality of D365 under way where we draft a marketing email in D365, and select a marketing list right on that email and press a 'SEND' button?

Per the demand of a customer, I was trying to cut the steps such as save a drafted marketing email as a template under Advanced settings --> Email templates and create campaigns/quick campaigns.

So, I tried to send out emails via quick campaign without creating a marketing list.

1. Open contacts
2. Select some contacts
3. Click on 3 dots at the end of command bar and select quick campaign
4. Create an email quick campaign WITHOUT using any email template [just entered text only, no images]
5. Emails sent
Question - where can I see this quick campaign that I created? Say, I need to look at the contacts I send it to, unless I find this quick campaign, I cannot establish who I send it to?
I tried to find it via dashboards. In the Email Marketing dashboard I can view how many emails were sent on this date but not the quick campaign. Not sure what am I missing!

    Hi,

It seems like you are using marketing for D365 CE. We do not use Campaigns , quick campaigns in D365 or Marketing List in D365 for Marketing.

    1. If you want to track your audience you need to use campaign or quck campaigns in D365 CE. In D365 marketing you can use the "Send Now button" and add contacts manually and it will create a customer journey for you, where you can track your audience.

    2. We do not use Campaign or quick campaigns in D365 for Marketing

    3. You can find the results inside you quick campaign.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to the Dynamics Communities.  1) Using Dynamics Marketing you can send a Marketing email out to a large audience directly without using campaigns.  There are some steps you complete for setup docs.microsoft.com/.../prepare-marketing-emails.  2) Email Templates work differently using Dynamics 365 for CE. docs.microsoft.com/.../create-templates-email.  3) You can suggest this new feature at the experience.dynamics.com/.../ site.  Our Product Team will review and features with the most votes are considered. Another option that may help is using MS Flow for task automation within Dynamics cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../.
