New deductions not saving option to Allow Arrears

In GP 2018 R2, I created a number of deductions for a new company starting on the HR side and then setting them up the payroll side when prompted.  A number of these. I marked to "Allow Arrears" and "Mandatory Deductions" in payroll and clicked the "Save" button.  I noticed that when I pulled that deduction back up in payroll, the 2 arrears options were not checked.  I checked them again, was not prompted to roll the arrear change down when I clicked the "Save" button.  I opened the deduction up again in payroll, and those options did not maintain the checked option; the were unchecked.  I opened it again, checked the arrears options, but this time I closed the window by clicking the "X" in the upper-right of the window.  I was prompted to roll down the change.  I re-opened it again, and this time it stuck.  I only noticed this behavior on new deductions that were initially created in HR; if I set it up in payroll this behavior does not occur.

    Hello!

When setting up new Deductions. Start in HR, save through Payroll side, but don't mark the Arrears boxes on this first time through.  After you have initially saved the deduction in the Deduction Setup table, THEN you will be able to pull it up again in the Payroll Setup and mark and save the Arrears settings.  I believe it does this because the record needs to exist in the Deduction Setup table first before it will add it to the Arrears table.

There is a difference between closing with the Save button and closing it with the "X" in the upper right hand corner.  If I create a new deduction on the HR side, and when the payroll deduction window I mark the arrears checkboxes and close the window by clicking on the "X"...the arrear attributes are saved.  If I close the window using the "Save" button, the arrear attributes are not saved and I have to re-open, select them again, and save.  Closing the window either way, should perform the same, but they do not.
