Hi, i see in my accouting structure a specific account. But when I try to make a journal entry, i receive an error message... saying that the account is not in the accounting structure. Did someone knows how to resolve that ??

Is your account structure date depending? Can you verify this and show us the setup of your acc structure and ledger?

Please check if the specific ledger account is part of your Accounting Structure. If you have a range of accounts setup in your structure and if you have added new ledger accounts within that range then it should not be a problem.

If the new account created in not within the range then you have to manually add that specific ledger in the Account Structure.

Can someone please help me figure it out?

For the timeframe related to my chart of account, I'm not sure how to verify this information.

Hello SophieCPA,

Thanks for the update. In this case it seems that there is not much that you might be able to do from an end user perspective. Probably try whether editing and activating the account structure helps. Other than that, you will probably require the help of a developer to get this fixed as the account-financial dimension combination seems fine based on the info you showed above.

Would be great if you could keep us updated here.

Another reflexion, is it possible that the problem is related of the intercompany setup of my Dynamics?

The mentionned account is an intercompany account. Is there any set-up I need to do before trying to register an interco?

Hi,

How did you record the transaction in your journal? Did you specify a different offset company and selected this account?

Does this account actually exist in the other company?

Maybe you can share some additional info on the transaction and your IC accounting setup

I do have the same account structure in 2 companies.

In one company i'm able to write in the journal the account number without receiving the error message. When I switch company, I can't. I set up all the intercompany accounting the same way, but still not able to do it. (Under General Ledger, Setup, Posting, Intercompany acounting).

Any toughts?
