Does anyone know what SQL Scripts are used to create the reports with Mgt Reporter?
As it would be good to see if I can use PowerBI to re-produce the Reports.
Has anyone used PowerBI to produce the same reports as Mgt Reporter
Kind regards
Brian

Hi Brian,
Somehow this question seems familiar to me.. but can't find where it was posted recently.
There is no benefits of trying to understand how the MR 2012 pulls the data from GP, as you probably don't want to re-invent the wheels.. ? I don't think PowerBI is a good candidate to produce financial reports.. there are so many variables in this, like pulling data by periods based on your ERP system.
Why would you spend hours of trying to reproduce a system that you can install for free as part of your GP ERP system ? Like many other Financial reporting solutions out there for GP, vendors and ISV's have spent thousands of hours to build good reliable systems.. I don't think you want to go down this rabbit hole :-)
There are very affordable alternative solutions for MR 2012 that you can buy and get up & running within a few days or hours.
Hi Brian,
There isn't so much a SQL script that MR uses but rather it's a series of stored procedures, temp tables, and SQL statements that are run. It's not something that could be easily done outside of MR. Microsoft doesn't support doing something like this. Generating reports in MR would be the only supported method of getting the data from the data mart.
