Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

A server error has occurred, and the content cannot be displayed. Refresh the page or open a new browser window.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everyone,

I installed NAV 2016 with multiple databases and created instance for each database.  I can access the default instance URL for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client http://Servername:8080/DynamicsNAV90/WebClient.  I added other instances URL for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client in Dynamics NAV 2016 Administration shell environment. I confirmed the instances are running. To open these database through their instance URL, it opens with error message “A server error has occurred, and the content cannot be displayed. Refresh the page or open a new browser window”.

    Hi Saurav,

Please how can I change ClientServicesPort Value from 7046.  I want to test if this will work if I change the value to 9056.

Yes that is the thing that you need to change it to 7046.

You also need to change the server instance.

Refer to the above link and zoom in the last image. It displays the difference between two config files (or the parameters that you need to change)

    Hi Jonathan,

I opened the web.config file with notepad.  I couldn't see where ClientServicesPort information is indicated.  I ran the GET-NAVWebServerInstance through the Administration Shell.  I discovered that the ClientServicesPort of the Default Instance is 9046, while the new instance Server I created is indicated is 7046.  Could this be the problem why I cannot run the access the new instance server through webservice?

    Best Regards

    Tunji

    Hi,

I Think you want to have multiple web instances for Multiple Databases. If that is the case please refer the below link -

open iis admin tool and check if you have a web application per web client instance. each of it has it's own web.config, which has to be configured for each web client instance.
