Reduce Dynamics 365 storage Database

Hello,

I need to reeduce storage in Database Dynamics 365. What can I do, but without buying new storage ? What files can I delete based on that /PluginAssemblyBase/ is the first one ?

Hi Partner,

Generally, we can refer to the following documentation to reduce storage:

These are ways to reduce the amount of storage space used by removing or deleting different types of information from customer engagement apps. Use one or more of these methods to control your total data storage usage. You can delete certain categories of data as the need arises, or you can set up bulk deletion jobs to reoccur at set intervals.

But these are all out of the box tables that store metadata for those component types:

PluginAssemblyBase - Plugin assemblies

SystemFormBase - Entity forms

LocalizedLabel: Contains a localized label, including the label string and the language code.

......

Depending on the number of solutions (either customized by you, provided by third parties or even Microsoft Internal), this will increase. The more solutions that are deployed on your environment, the biggest these tables are going to get,

Obviously, we can't simply reduce storage by removing the solution.

So, Best advice is to reach to Microsoft Support to discuss it.
