What are the inputs and outputs for creating an action ?

Hi!

I want to create an action for the given scenario:

After creating quote, I want to add a button ("Create Order") which triggers an action to create an order.

In the process of creating an action (To create an order), I have to add inputs and outputs. Can someone please assist me by telling what are the inputs and outputs?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi HarshReddy,

when we call/invoke action inside OOB workflow/JavaScript we need to configure properties. Setting value for an input either dynamic or static.

If any steps added after action step inside OOB workflow, we can get output of the action that can be referred dynamically inside OOB workflow.

FYI, actions can be bound to an entity or global. If it is bound to an entity it is mandatory to pass Id of the record.

    Regards,

    Prakash

In your case, input  parameters can be your field values (like SLOT, Numeric or Lookup/Entity Reference) that will be passed while calling "Create Order" action and once record is created you can return some flag like "True" if operation succeeded or "False" if operation failed in output parameter.

    Hope this helps!
