ReportI am upgrading GP2015 to 2018 and currently working on this in a parallel test environment. After installing the 2018.00.0628 version, the system was EXTREMELY slow, basically unusable. So much so that it took almost 4 complete days to upgrade the databases (7) This was going to be a deal killer. If I was not going to be able to get the system upgrade over a weekend, I was going to have to find another path.
After researching the slowness I found it was not uncommon, and found some basic troubleshooting steps but most others with similar issues did not have similar environments.
My environment is running on a virtual machine, so we added more resources (CPUs and RAM). No real improvement. The next action was to install the 18.00.00.0727 patch. When I ran GP Utilities to upgrade the database for the patch, I could already see the difference. All databases upgraded in about 2 hours. What a difference!
So now my question: Can I install the upgrade to 2018.00.0628 and then immediately apply the patch v2018.00.0727 without running GP Utilities in between, and then run the GP Utilities to upgrade the databases on the much faster .0727 version? Will both upgrades be processed at the same time?

GP2018 on VMware
OS: Server 2019 with Terminal server
SQL: 2016
