I have a field value which I would like to parse between one entity to another upon clicking of 'Update' button in a form.
I tried to use a workflow process but realized that it can't set field values of another entity.
May I know what should the correct approach that I should take?

HI , May I know the 2 entities are not related ? I.e. there is no relation ship between the entities ? If there is relationship then you should be able to update . The scenario you mentioned there should be a relationship . If there is no existing relationship then create one and then you will be able to update other entity as well with workflows
