Item List field is not exported correctly to excel

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I have added a new field in item card, which is completed by an automatic import from another interface integrated with NAV 2013 R2.

The field in NAV is automatically completed correctly and the value showed in item card and list is ok, but when I try to export item list in excel the value of this field is not correct.

When I export item list from the computer of an Admin user it is exported ok. The problem happens with all the other users.

All users have the same excel version. Can anyone please suggest why is this problem when exporting to excel and only with some users?

Thanks and regards

No it doesn't work fine on the other computer. So the issue is not related with users

What abt using Admin user on that computer and see if it works fine or not?

The error is happening on particular computers, but as I checked all of them have excel 2010 versions installed. But I doubt that it may be related with any excel add-ins?

Admin user only works well from the server. So as I tried with 2 computers the export works well, while with two other computers it is not exported ok.

That's why I thought that it is related with computer (and excel versions installed on the computer ) and not with users.  I am using NAV 2013 R2.

Is error happening on a particular excel version or for a particular profile ?

Ideally excel version should not be the issue otherwise it would not work even with Admin user as well. If this is the issue, you might face with other fields of NAV as well.

What is NAV version (build), that you are using?

The value is ok everywhere in NAV (table, page) it only appears wrong when exported in excel. No there is not any code written on item list page.

Do you think it might be related to excel version or add-ins since it happens on some computers, and when exported from admin user on the server it is ok?

Have you checked the value of that field in Item Table direct (not from Page)?

Is there any code written on Item List Page?
