Hi all,

I'm getting a very weird issue with a new EP installation. Everytime I click "View in browser" from the Web sites form, AX opens IE and throws an error:

Error

I have deleted all XppIL file, full compile, generate full CIL, restart AOS and synchronized the database but the result is the same.

Has anyone seen this error before? Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

This have been resolved by clearing the .auc files on the bc proxy user account. The whole issue was caused by the install of VS2013 tools after all components are installed. It's best to install VS2013 tools first before any other components. If you have already done all other components before VS2013 tools, make sure you clear all user's .auc files.

Hello, Thanks for this answer. I have the same problem on one of our environment. What do you think when you write "clearing the .auc files" ?

I deleted the .AUC files in the bc proxy account in C:\users\svc-axbcprx-int\AppData\Local but it has not resolved my problem. I try to restart IIS, to reboot the server but the EP don't work.

    King regards

    Hi,

It's probably worth doing a full compile (axbuild maybe) and regenerate CIL. I've figured out my issue by debugging through the code and found out that the EDT SysElementName that was supposed to be string size 40 but it appeared and string size 10. So I looked into the cache. Maybe if the full compile and CIL doesn't work, try debugging through the codes to see what exactly is going on.

    Cheers,

    JH

    Hello,

Thank you very much for these details.

We have exactly the same issue, the EDT SysElementName is 40 in the AOT, but reduced to 10 in the debugger (then the var "masterClass" contains the value "Enterprise" instead of "EnterprisePortal", so that the wrong class is called).

But we are unable to restore the value to 40 in the AX application. We cleared the .auc files (both on our local users and on the BC Proxy user), we recompiled the application and we regenerated the CIL files. We also rebooted the AX server. We also redeployed the portal.

Is there another cache to clear or something else to do?

    Thanks a lot.

If removing .auc files does not fix the issue then,
    1. Uninstall EP.
    2. Uninstall AX support files from programs and features in SharePoint server.
    3. Delete assemblies (take backup) in SharePoint server starting with "Microsoft.Dynamics.AX" from
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC_32
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC_64
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL
    4. Full compile AX, remove errors if any.
    5. Full CIL AX.
    6. Install EP
    7. Good to go. :)

Thanks for the replies.  This helped me! Deleting just  the bcproxy cache didn't help..but this leads to me to also delete my AX user's cache (ie. the user I am using to login to AX). I supposed if your BCPROXY is also the same user you are trying to login to AX that solution would have worked...(ie. like DEMO\Adminsitrator who was setup as the bcproxy service account, ax admin user and also/may the AOS service account).

    Hi Wajahat,
How i can delete assemblies on Dynamics AX 2012 R3?
When said you "starting with "Microsoft.Dynamics.AX"", do you refer to BC account?

    Thank you.
    Best Regards
    Javier

    Hi Javier,

    This is the path:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\<instance name>\bin\XppIL.
