Readonly lookup field issue

I'm facing a strange issue after I created a new entity and defining a N:1 relation with another custom entity.

When I added the lookup field of the new entity on the form, it appears as readonly for all users except the ones with System administrator roles. I've checked all the needed permissions like read, append and append to, and all are there with organization level permissions.

    Thank you, that helps, Append Privilege was needed on the lookup Entity to solve this issue.

    Did you checked the append and append to for both main entity and the lookup to entity?
