I had the same issue. You need to install or reinstall Microsoft Silverlight 5. Very easy fix. I had the exact same error as I needed to fire up a NAV 2013 R2 instance for development purposes.

check firewall settings; to test turn off firewall.

check if sql protocol "named pipes" is enabled.

    OK.

Now RTC is working, but one issue I am unable to understand.

If i am connected to my office LAN then my local demo database (RTC) works.

If off network (LAN) then when starting RTC i get the error "The server "DynamicsNAV71" was unable to process the request Demo Database"

My Laptop is in domain, both the user Domain & Local are added in SQL & RTC.

after new installation also check, if you have enabled named pipes protocol in sql services mgmt tool. it's also needed to connect to nav service and the database correctly.

try to run the sql server service with a different user, e.g. the local system user. restart the sql server service and the nav service.

Microsoft Silverlight is not installed on my laptop, checked all folders, via control panel.

The problems related to mscorlib.dll usually are associated to Silverlight. If you have Microsoft Silverlight try to uninstall or upgrade/repair.

You can also try manually registering this dll.

    Good luck!

    Hi Manish,

Do one thing did you try it on different machine to check that there is nothing wrong with  setup and other content?

If it works there then you have to find out registry with Dynamics and deleted from over there. after that restart the machine to apply the registry changes then try to install and check the connectivity.
